Description: Laced with muted underlying textures, the first part of 'Transmission Minus The Pilots' contains a sort of crumbling drone that’s wonderfully ambient and calm. Bleak, yet beautiful with it, the eight movements included here awaken the loneliness with delicate melodies full of passive overtones and sparsely plucked bass strings. This record finds the sweet spot between the band’s customary fragile minimal quirks and their more expansive moments. Textural processing and creaking noise streaked with stray bass improvisations. Excellent.
