Description: Stripped down to just one electric bass, two delay pedals and a volume controller, 'Repetitions' is the first ever release planned and recorded by just one core member of Minus Pilots. A serene drift is composed across two sides patching and pairing wistful bass strings with low fidelity crackle caused by the band's old Revox A77 reel-to-reel tape recorder, this is a delicate and captivating suite of sparse sound experiments carefully rustled together. Hushed murmurs with gentle keys. Highly recommended minimalism.

I came to this album (and label) via acloserlisten.com, and picked up the CD--great packaging!--through Stashed Goods. One of my favourite albums of 2016 that can be played at any time: it has such a nice relaxing feel to it that kind of washes over you as you listen. In places (e.g. "Before") it reminds me a bit of Ludovico Einaudi. Great stuff! Gordon
