Description: 'Projector Gunship Held 2' is the second release in the trilogy from Cut Iowa Network. Continuing with their expansive sound the trio build on the krautrock of the original, exploring vast new territories, this time taking in sprawling ambient dreamscapes reminiscent in places of Tangerine Dream and Can circa Flow Motion. Once again the sonic palette is relentlessly shifting, from the burbling ambient waveforms of 'Halo Antennas', through the blistered angular desert jazz rock of 'Square Wave Through The Spectrum Ascent', reminiscent of a Sergio Leone western on an acid trip, to the Boards of Canada tinged 'Horizon 78 Dimension Event'. The guitars, bass and tape loops continue to create mesmeric atmospheric backdrops for the percussive invention of Steve d'Enton, and, as we have come to expect, Cut Iowa Network delight with glorious warped ambient excursions linking tracks once again creating a journey that you can lose yourself in. A must for fans of the first instalment. They have raised the bar again.

Goccia, it's mixing faded recollection from the artist's life and strong memories of the listener, shaping these two halves of lives into a unique imaginary beyond comprehension.
Goccia, it's two fragments of reality put together into one dream strongly marked by liturgical features, hinting that the unknown must be a part of our existence to be complete.
Goccia, it's a permanent surprise teaching us that the unexpected can be the most beautiful gift if you welcome it like an old friend. Dotflac

Drones, synths and epic sound walls emerging from a distant fog. Meditative, peaceful and as if from the inside of an iceberg. Sounds that aspire to the light. An outstanding, deep and imaginative album with subtle electronics. Apart from "Day" by Christopher Hipgrave (https://homenormal.bandcamp.com/album/day), for me it's the strongest album in the catalogue of Home Normal. silence et liberté

Even if he says otherwise, Ian Hawgood is super prolific and incredibly talented in not only his own releases, but in collaborations and with the heart & soul put into the labels he's run over the years.
Saying all that, this is a more recent favorite release of Ian's: peaceful, deceivingly simple (yet not!) piano works that is personal, elegant and graceful in its warmth and presentation. Plus it's for a wonderful cause. Get it!! Joe Borreson
