Description: Flush with melodic, complex and driving arrangements, Thomas Stone created 'Transference' using contrabassoon, samplers, loop pedals and activated percussion. 'Transference I' gets proceedings underway with layers of fragile tones that are immaculately melded together with intersecting triggered percussion. The tension is then broken by 'Transference II' which features delicate and sparse sound clusters that shift slowly and effortlessly throughout. 'Transference III' comes next and it's a faster, harder and more threatening spectrum of haunting atmospherics blending unhinged and almost sinister drones. This exceptional release concludes with 'Transference IV', which starts off gently and leads steadily to a blissful ascension. 'Transference' is a deep, deep listening experience. Essential and profound, this comes highly recommended.
