Description: The original 'Junkyard Transmissions' tracks were recorded and mixed at the Team Built Remote by Cut Iowa Network autumn 2008 and released 15 December 2008 by Benbecula Records (BEN546). These specially commissioned redux versions of the tracks were heavily edited and then mastered at the Team Built Remote between December 2014 and February 2015. Sound sculptures and textures by Cut Iowa Network unite both sides of this 10" and the results are nothing short of outstanding. Cut Iowa Network have always impressed us with their evocative, cleverly improvised music, but with these pieces they have managed to construct a captivating and just utterly breathtaking piece of music with a disciplined and measured approach. 'Junkyard Transmissions Redux' is a colossal, tempered record that slowly billows and undulates with an uncharacteristic restraint. A hugely recommend purchase for followers of Cut Iowa Network.
