Description: And so we reach the fifth and final part of this really rather delightful gathering of 7"s starting with 'Inventing The Sun', a beguiling aural excursion into the depths with sparsely scattered bass, extreme analogue delay and battered old looping pedals once again at the forefront. Ethereal. Then comes the three and a half minutes comedown of 'Title Three Wiretap', a cascading descent of sound that never threatens to belligerently overwhelm the listener. The perfect conclusion to a wonderfully understated series of 7"s.

Even if he says otherwise, Ian Hawgood is super prolific and incredibly talented in not only his own releases, but in collaborations and with the heart & soul put into the labels he's run over the years. Saying all that, this is a more recent favorite release of Ian's: peaceful, deceivingly simple (yet not!) piano works that is personal, elegant and graceful in its warmth and presentation.
