Description: The original intention was to release this as a standalone 10" with drums firmly at the forefront but we mistakenly sent the wrong files to the vinyl manufacturer and only discovered our error after we took delivery of the final records and listened back to them. We placed a brand new order with the correct music and then spoke with Minus Pilots to consider together what to do with the old records. Our initial discussions centred around recycling them by etching a PARS design onto the A and B sides but after a few months of deliberation we eventually agreed to keep the records untouched and give them away free of charge to all who purchased a copy of the 'False Flags' 10". This record marks Minus Pilots' first attempt at incorporating live drums into their bass driven sound and features some extraordinary percussive work added by two guest members. The band have coined a striking new sound with 'False Flags', blending their classic sparse bass improvisations with complicated live drum experiments. These edits mark a turning point for the band where the production has become more sculpted and the arrangements slightly tighter and complex. This is a stunning record, completely essential to any followers of the band.
